Do you do home visit for blood collection?

Yes, we do provide the facility of blood sample collection from your home for your convenience. The technician from the lab will visit you at your doorstep at the time of the appointment booked. You can book an appointment for home visit by calling us on +91 98210 17047 / 022 6699 7034.

Is my area covered for home visit and what are the charges?

We do blood sample collection in the following areas routinely - Four Bungalows, Versova, Yari Road, Oshiwara, Lokhandwala, Veera Desai Road, Juhu, Vile Parle West and other parts of Andheri West. Visits are done for an additional cost of Rs 150 per visit.

Do you have sample pick-up across Mumbai?

We do have provision for sample pick-up from all across Mumbai for a minimal charge. You can book an appointment for sample pick-up by calling us on +91 98210 17047 / 022 6699 7034.

How reliable is your home collection?

The technician who will be visiting you for blood collection is highly skilled and trained professional. We have special visit bags to store your blood sample and maintain the sample quality and integrity.

Which tests require fasting and how many hours?

Blood Sugar Fasting, Lipid Profile tests such as Cholesterol and Triglycerides, Insulin, certain health check up packages, require 10-12 hours/overnight fasting along with abstinence from alcohol in the previous night. Fasting allows you to only drink water in moderate quantities.

CBC, HbA1c, Liver function tests, kidney function tests, Thyroid, Vitamin D3, B12, PSA, etc do not require fasting.

What dietary restrictions should be adhered to before conducting blood sugar or lipid profile test?

Regular diet and medication should be followed for at least three days prior to undergoing the tests and on the same day of the test.

What is the turnaround time for reports and how can I get my reports?

Reports for most of the routine tests, health packages are available within 6-8hours of sampling. Certain Specialized Tests may require at least 2 or more working days and you may enquire the same at our helpline phone no +91 98210 17047 / 022 6699 7034.

You can access the reports online at our website or it can be mailed to you at your specified email address. You can also collect a printed report from any of our centres. Final authenticated reports will be given after receipt of full payment only.

Can I discuss with anyone about the queries I have regarding my report?

There is a doctor always available at the main center of our lab from 09:00 am to 07:00 pm. You can visit the lab and discuss with the doctor if you have any queries. Are the test results reliable?

We observe highest quality standards in our Lab. We use highly reliable Machines from Companies Like Abbott, Biorad, Sysmex , Becton Dickinson , Roche etc which are of Global Gold standard.

We have been in existence since more than 39 years and our chief pathologist Dr Kunal Sehgal actively takes part in daily reporting. Our technicians are also highly experienced and trained with many of them possessing experience of more than 15 years.

We are a referral laboratory for blood cancer diagnostics for all top private and government hospital, laboratories and oncologists for Mumbai and beyond.

What is the procedure for Blood Sugar post meal or post glucose (BS-PG)?

For blood sugar post meal one should note the time of completion of meal and report to the lab exactly at 2 hours after completion. For post glucose time is noted after drinking the required amount of glucose and then exactly at 2 hours one should report to the lab. For both these tests it is very important that one does not eat or drink anything during the two hours except for water.

Procedure of GTT (Glucose Tolerance Test)?

For a GTT one should be fasting for at least 10-12 hours. Total 3 blood samples are collected; 1st sample is fasting blood sugar sample. After collection of the 1st sample, 75 grams of glucose mixed with water is given to drink and the time noted. For e.g. if glucose was taken at 9 am the following samples are collected at 10 am and the last one at 11 am. One should not eat or drink anything until completion of all the sample collections.

How many days does the Blood Culture report take?

A positive blood culture report is ready after 72-96 hours, whereas an interim telephonic positive report can be given within 48 hours. If the test is negative, then the final report is ready after 5-6 days.

What precaution has to be taken while collecting Urine sample for routine and culture test?

For a routine urine test, urine sample should be collected in a bottle provided by the lab after cleaning the area well with water. A first morning midstream urine sample should be collected for a culture test ensuring proper cleaning of the area before collection. Also, the sample should be collected in a sterilized culture container provided by the lab and submitted as early as possible.

Procedure of 24 hours urine sample collection?

Collect an appropriate 5 litre can from the lab. Let the first morning urine sample be discarded. Collect every sample from the second sample onwards until the first sample next morning. Ensure mixing of every sample with the preservative that is added in the can.

How many days of abstinence is required for semen testing?

Minimum 4-5 days of abstinence is required.
